Ronaldo Amazing Disallowed Goal Portugal vs Spain 17-11-2010
That's the reason for Ronaldo's departure from Man Utd. Because Nani always steals the honour.

The Only Thing I Know
The only thing i know. What a video that prompt me to get out of my comfort zone to post on my blog once again.
For much of my life, i have been endorsing records in game and enjoying successes in the games i played.
After watching this video. which seems to be another lame cartoon created most probably using flash. It has impacted my life and possibly my future.
I understand that people sleep away 1/2 of our lives, and i have spent 1/2 of what was left on playing games that does not reflect the reality.
I should concentrate on what is on the reality side of life than to achieve something big in the virtual world.

Jay Chou 周杰倫 - Superman Can't Fly 超人不会飞完整版MV
Sometimes i wish i am .. superman. but apparently, i am not, and will never be. Time and times again, i am called upon to do big. But, i am still a human after all, i am not omni-present.
The expectation is high and quite a handful of them. I wonder how long can i last. I need a break, if i ever can fly, i really need to fly to the sky and have a much needed rest.

TIPS FOR A PROBLEM FREE COMPUTING EXPERIENCE
TIPS FOR A PROBLEM FREE COMPUTING EXPERIENCE
============================================
The more of these suggestions you follow, the fewer problems you should have. They won't solve any existing problems you have, but if you follow them all you should be able to avoid virtually all problems in the future.
Things you should NOT do
--------------------------------
1: Use Internet Explorer (1)
2: Use any browser based on Internet Explorer (e.g. Maxathon and MSN Explorer)
3: Use Outlook or Outlook Express (2)
4: Open email attachments you haven't manually scanned with your virus scanner
5: Open email attachments you were not expecting, no matter who they appear to be from
6: Respond to spam messages, including using unsubscribe links
7: Visit questionable websites (e.g. porn, warez, hacking)
8: Poke unnecessary holes in your firewall by clicking "Allow" every time some program requests access to the Internet (3)
9: Click directly on links in email messages
10: Use file sharing or P2P programs
11: Use pirated programs
Things you SHOULD do
-----------------------------
1: Use a non-IE or IE based browser (4)
2: Always have an up to date virus scanner running (5)
3: Always have a firewall running (6)
4: Install all the latest security updates (7)(8)(9)
5: Delete all unsolicited emails containing attachments without reading
6: Manually scan all email attachments with your virus scanner, regardless of whether it's supposed to be done automatically
7: Copy and paste URLs from email messages into your web browser
8: Inspect links copied and pasted into your web browser to ensure they don't seem to contain a second/different address
9: Establish a regular backup regimen (10)(11)
10: Make regular checks of your backup media to ensure it is still good (12)
Being a considerate Internet user & other online tips
----------------------------------------------------------------
1: Do not send attachments in emails (13)(14)
2: Do not use stationary or any other kind of special formatting in emails (13)
3: Do not TYPE IN ALL CAPS (15)
4: Avoid texting speak or "l33t speak" (16)
5: Do not poke sleeping bears (17)
6: Do not use registry cleaners/fixers/optimizers (18)(19)
Offline tips and suggestions
----------------------------------------------------------------
1: Avoid buying Acer, HP. Compaq, Gateway, and eMachines computers (20)(21)(22)(23)
2: Avoid sub-$500 systems that aren't netbooks or part of some limited time price promotion (24)
Notes
--------
(1) Sadly sometimes this is unavoidable, so only use IE when the site absolutely will not work with any other browser and you cannot get that information/service anywhere else, and only use IE for that one specific site.
(2) Outlook and Outlook Express are very insecure, and basically invite spam. The jury is still out on Vista's Windows Mail, but given Microsoft's history with email programs, extreme caution is advised. Possible replacements include Mozilla Thunderbird, Eudora, The Bat, and dozens of others.
(3) When it doubt over whether or not to allow some program, use Google to find out what it is and whether or not it needs access to the Internet. Otherwise, denying access is the safest course of action, since you can always change the rule later.
(4) On Windows your options include: Mozilla Firefox, Seamonkey, Opera, Flock, Chrome, and Safari. I would personally recommend Firefox with the NoScript extension for added security, but it the important thing is to pick one and use it instead of IE.
(5) AVG Free and Avast are available if you need a decent free virus scanner
(6) XP/Vista's firewall is probably good enough for 99% of all Windows users, but other options include ZoneAlarm, Outpost Firewall, and Comodo. If you have a router with a firewall built into it, there is no need for any of the aforementioned firewalls to be running.
(7) Microsoft's usual system is to release security updates every second Tuesday of the month.
(8) Use of Windows Update on Windows operating systems prior to Windows Vista requires Internet Explorer, and is thus a valid exception to the "No IE" rule.
(9) Service packs should ALWAYS be installed. They frequently contain security updates that will ONLY be found in that service pack.
(10) You can go with a full fledged backup program, or simply copying important files onto a CD/DVD/Flash drive.
(11) I'd recommend a tiered backup system. For example, you might have 5 rewritable DVDs, and every day you burn your backup onto a new disc. On the 6th day, you erase the disc for Day #1 for your backup, and so on so that you have multiple backups should one disc ever go bad.
(12) Replace rewritable CDs and DVDs approximately every 3-6 months.
(13) These dramatically increase the size of email messages (2-3X minimum) and clog up email servers already straining to cope with the flood of spam pouring in daily.
(14) If you want to share photos with friends/family, upload them to some photo sharing site like Flickr or Google's Picasa Web and then send people a link to that particular photo gallery.
(15) This is considered to be the same as SHOUTING and many people find it to be hard to read along with highly annoying.
(16) Unless the goal is to make yourself look like a pre-adolescent girl, or someone overcompensating for their gross inadequacies, and you don't want people to take you seriously.
(17) Most REAL hackers are quite content to leave you alone unless you make them take notice of you. No dinky little software firewall or consumer grade router is going to keep them out of your system. So do not go to some hacker website or chat room and start shooting your mouth off unless you're prepared to accept the consequences
(18) Most of these programs are scams, and sell you something you don't need. Most of them report non-issues in an attempt to boost the number of "issues". Sometimes using these programs can lead to a non-functioning computer.
(19) The Windows registry is not some mystical black box of untapped performance tweaks for Windows, that will lead to untold improvements in system performance. Most of the tweaks will lead to very modest performance gains of 1-2% tops, and probably less than 10% all combined. There is also a good chance that you will render your system unbootable if you make a mistake when editing. Registry default settings are set that way for a reason. Just do yourself a favor, and forget you ever heard of the Windows registry unless you are a computer programmer/debugger and your job requires knowledge of the registry.
(20) Acer now owns Gateway and eMachines
(21) HP owns Compaq
(22) Hardware failures seem far more common with these brands than can be considered normal
(23) These companies use cheap labor in Asian countries were working conditions are often what would be considered sweat shops, and are run by brutal dictatorships, which you are supporting by buying from these companies
(24) If you just do some simple math, and realize that the cost of individual components like the CPU are around 25-33% of the total retail cost of the system, and everyone involved in the making and selling of the system is looking to make a profit, how much money can they possibly be making on each system. And if you're only making a few pennies on every system, how much quality control do you really think is going to go into the manufacturing process?

Busy Busy Busy
For the past 2 weeks, i have been really busy and no time for most of the things i want to do.
I.e. de-register my old bike, pay lawyer $200, call starhub asking for Iphone, delivering an order and most of all, spending more time with my Roselinn.
It has been a tough 2 weeks, at times, i was kept awake till 5am in the morning to settle Big orange stuffs. It is not easy, but i find satisfaction in this. No doubt, the 2 pillars of 1800Computer has left us (Derrick and Vince). It's going to be tough. Nevertheless, I would relish the chance to contribute and realise what I really want.
One last thing i need now is ... better pay. I think i deserve it. For the past 2 weeks, new deals are coming in and is only going to get bigger and bigger. My only worry is that i have more stuffs on my plate. I thank God for his faith and his unconditional love, as He gave me other choices as well, to let me find out what I really want. I believe HE is going to guide me to go on the path he wants me to be.
I just hope that things will get better and God will continue to be my backbone to do whatever he wants me to achieve in the glory of HIS name.

Light at the end of tunnel

As the saying goes, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel. Indeed, the light came, but i am not sure whether it is good or bad. At end of the day, i am still unsure of what i need or want. Everything seems to be coming at the same time, and any decision, would be pivotal to my career or future.
I guess, it is normal for anyone to hate making decisions especially it has domino effect for the upcoming years.

Sick and tired for being sick and tired
Tiredness is the keyword to what i am experiencing. Or simply, you can say 'jaded' or 'numb-ness', i am sick and tired of changing my role. I not sure about you, how many people will enjoy changing your role every now and then? Especially, at least 3 major changes in one year? I doubt it.
Everytime, i was used as the 'finger' to cover the 'hole' that is leaking water in the company. I am not sure whether it was a compliment (for being all-rounder) or, it is an insult. I have pondered over the past few days, or in fact the past few weeks thinking what i need to do, or rather, what I want to do.
What i need now is really stablity, higher paid, a fresh start. I do not know what the future lies, but i really need to set a goal for myself for the next 5 years.
What i want to be?
What i want to achieve?
How much i need to earn?
What are the milestones that i want to accomplish?
With the current situation, it will not be feasible to talk about the above questions. I want to change, but how? It seems like my confidence has hit the lowest point in my life.

Hangover of 2009's Bad luck

I hated to mention this, but 2009's bad luck on me is still in effect. I.e. Work, life, football etc...
I was never injury prone before my accident back in 2009's may. But everything changes since, i was forced to be out of soccer for 6 months( Longest period of non-footballing action since i started playing football). my secret dream about being the captain has been dashed.
Everything else changes as well, my career, my money(all spent in medical bills and new bike), and almost everything else.
There is always a saying:
There is a light at the end of the tunnel.I have used this phrase to encourage my friends in the past, and similarly, i have used this phrase to encourage myself, but indeed, i am still in the tunnel after so long. But i never regretted learning bike in the first place. Without it, i would have been charged in army for being late and many more.
There are also positives about it, i.e. i have seen the reality and know who care for u the most.
Starting from Herman, special thanks to him throughout the period, he came down from work to send me to polyclinic many times, sent be back to office to play dota, sent me to tan tock seng hospital, sent me to Lawyer firm, I will never forget his kindness. He was one of my few friends who visited me in hospital. He wlll always be my brother. (^^)==b
Secondly, i would like to thank my Mum for her unconditional love and care during this period of time.
Lastly, Roselinn played a vital role for me during that period of time as well. She showed 110% to me despite her curfew and restrictions. Kudos to her, she has make my time easier, and also, she had underwent awful time trying to bring me to the brighter side.
Beside the thanks giving, I really hope that 2010 would be a perfect year. Most imptly, i really need to boost to my stamina and to be back on track again.

Jack Neo's Scandal
What is your thoughts on this?
Should Jack stop his wonderful works in terms of producing movies?
The above are the questions you may probably ask. How about ah nan's comment? (below, translated from mandarin, chinese)
It is normal for men to play womanI wonder when this will end, if Jack is not a celebrity, will this incident be made public? I doubt so, this whole incident put alot of pressure and stress on the old couple. It's not surprising for a director to have 'alot of girls throwing themselves' at, just look at Wan Jing from HK, i believe he has countless girls.
by Ah Nan
Just give them a break, pls, media is taking this chance to boost their sales of their papers. This is their family matters, let them decide and settle themselves. As quoted from Pastor Tan(From CHC), just leave them alone so that they can rebuild their marriage. Every men will fall, what they need is a chance to redeem themselves.
In regards to whether Jack should disband J-Team, i am afraid not. Like it or not, he is the most talented local movie director, he should use his future movies as part of the redemption for himself, and do Singapore and his family proud once more. That should be the most positive thing to do.
Be it a big mistake or a small mistake, they deserve a chance for self-redemption. Give him, and his family a chance.

Good news and bad news for children!
When a child is young, they are Ke ai, when they get older, they are KE WU!
Anyway, just let me start with the good news first, my roselinn's cousin's wife(aka Ah Fang) just gave birth to a baby boy. I wonder when is my sister in law giving birth. =(
Anyway, let me attach 1 of the baby's photo:
Congrats!
Why i included bad news? It's simple, just now when i was eating at a coffee shop near my house, i saw one typical public-enemy-faced child playing DS, I guess he is only about 10 year old, guess what?
I heard him scolding his mom "KNN CCB" in hokkien, i guess you all know what's it. That's the kind of child we see these days. I also heard that they do have sex at only 12 years old. Amazing. I cant imagine a parent who is only 10 years older.

Boredom in school
Right now i am in the premise of Ngee Ann Poly waiting for my class to commence here. Now the time is only 3.50pm and my class actually starts at 7pm. Well, i am so darn tired after the long meeting. Luckily for me, there are power points all over NP which allow me to utilise my laptop without the fear of power low.
Well, today's meeting goes kinda smoothly except for more requirements and changes required. Nevertheless, it seems like my hard work for the past few days paid off, as it is close to what the user requires.
At the same time, I missed my silly Roselinn~ Yesterday she showed me emoticon which is darn funny! Because that emoticon really resembles her! Muahahahaahaa

Multi-Threading programming(Concurrent System)
Maybe some do not know that our system(PC) is cater to run multi-Threading a.k.a. multi-Tasking programs using the processor.
In this semester, I chose concurrent system as my university core as I have always wanted to know how/why/what about multi-threading programming. But the bad things do happen, i missed the first 2 important lessons due to my in-camp training. After i attended my first class after missing the first 2, I totally do not know what i have learnt.
So far, i am done with my TMA question 1 and 2, and realize how important is multithreading system/programmng protocol is to this world. There are so many business/schools/games require that!
Anyway, i wont go into further details with concurrent system. Just do a google for 'concurrent system' and it will do you all good.
Below are 2 programs which i have created using simple blueJ(java sdk) for my TMA:
Coin change simple system(Unit in cents)
Voting System(Threaded)

It's not easy, straight forward traditional programming like vb.net(Sequential). It's object-oriented - Java, multithreading,

Programming is difficult.
How many of you think programming is easy? Lift up your hand now!
Why? Because at times, it's not something where you can use your logic to think. It's beyond logic at times.
It's more difficult if you are doing programming in Java and VB.net at the same time. For a simple sentence, i may sometimes confuse with the syntax. (as shown below)
Vb.net (Right syntax)
Dim strDynamic as new String
Java
String strDynamic; // with the colon
I am expected to work late, bt at times, people just look at the interface, they do not know how much to be done at backend. I wont mention who, but you know who. It's a lot of debugging.
What makes it more difficult is not only the requirement to program within a short time-span, it is also the fact that taking over someone' else work makes it even harder!
I do not know how long can I can continue with this life, but it's really very exhausting.
It is hard to do studying and work at the same time, although it's rewarding at the end of the day. Certainly, I do not know what to expect next.....
With this, i better get back to work! Seeya!

Extreme programming is really extreme
For the past few nights, i have been engaging in my project on clinical system as the deadline is coming near.
OMG, it is so tough! I have not been working on .net programming for a while now, have been involved in Java programming as well as PHP web programming.
Any VB.NET (Visual studio 2008) expert can help? I seriously need help.
Thanks alot!

Deal or no deal facebook theory

Have you started playing deal or no deal UK in facebook? If not, try playing now!
http://apps.facebook.com/dealornodeallive/
Do you know, there is a so-called theory to follow (Follow in your own risk)?
Let's say you are left with 2 boxes, 1 million pound and 300p, and the boxes left are namely 23 and 10. Normally the box 10 would contain 1million pounds.
Why?
It's simple, jus look at the amount and compare it with the box number, if it's identical, most probably it should be the box that will make u rich.
I also notice that this theory is only applicable for the last 4 boxes onwards. Also, if you dont find any linkage between box and the amount, just try your luck!
Good luck and have fun playing this wonderful game! Start inviting your friends!

Job Security vs Pay vs Position vs Prospect
the fact of the matter is that we really need a breakthru in 2010. Which will come not from anywhere, but God.
it's a downtime for everyone, everyone is disappointed, distress and demoralize. While we know, everyone yearn to make the company better, the boss working super duper hard to keep everyone, the fact of the matter is that we really need a breakthru in 2010. Which will come not from anywhere, but God.
I see people leaving, most notably, Herman, my best friend and colleague. God works in his life, he is blessed with a better job, and has contributed his sweat/blood for the company where he saw it grow from merely 3 peeps to today's 16-17 peeps. Good job and Good luck for the future!
For us who is still in the ship, some are pondering, some are afraid of when is the next storm. Bills are stacking, money are draining, spirit is dying. Everyone feel that they deserve more, if not, deserve the minimum. Expectations were not met, promises went empty.
I do not know what's more to say or do, when you know that nothing can be changed, except, time will prove itself. For my part, i just want to do well for my role in the company, nothing else, no more request(knowing they cant be met).
Anyway, Happy chinese new year to all!
